Athletic Club Fundazioa receives yet another season of support from the Bizkaia-based bank, the team’s main sponsor
Athletic Club Fundazioa and the BBK Foundation, the main sponsor of the Genuine team, have come together for another year in Lezama to strengthen this common project in favour of inclusive sport and equal opportunities. Nora Sarasola and Koldo Bilbao, representing the BBK Foundation, wanted to accompany the Genuine team on a special day for the team, as the official squad photo was taken on Tuesday. Likewise, Johana Ruiz-Olabuenaga, the new head of the Club’s Social Department, Galder Reguera, Project Manager of Fundazioa, and the board of directors Laura Ruiz de Azúa did not want to miss this important annual event.
LaLiga Genuine 2023/24 kicked off at the end of November, bringing together the 46 participating teams in Tarragona. As part of the Inclusion Group, Athletic Genuine faces the season with the same challenge as always: to share rather than compete and, if possible, to achieve a new Fair Play trophy, a trophy they have won in the five editions played.
As Nora Sarasola pointed out: “At BBK we promote initiatives that encourage healthy and inclusive sport, at all ages, both in terms of emotional and physical skills. Sport is enthusiasm, it is a team, and it is also a very useful tool for the development of people, because it promotes physical and mental wellbeing. In short, sport makes us better people and sport makes Bizkaia a better place. That is why at BBK we promote initiatives that encourage healthy and inclusive sport at all ages, both in terms of emotional and physical skills”.
