The entire Athletic Genuine squad dedicates its third Fair Play title to the fans from the centre of the field
Athletic Club Fundazioa, our Genuine team made up of people with intellectual disabilities, received a fabulous tribute at halftime in the match between Athletic Club and Granada CF for the third consecutive Fair Play title achieved in LaLiga Genuine. The 45 members of the squad, supported by the coaching staff, jumped onto the La Catedral lawn full of emotion and joy at being able to dedicate their new victory to the fans, who in turn reciprocated by applauding and showing their affection to a unique team.
The day was a beautiful party for Genuine, despite the unpleasant weather throughout the day and Athletic’s draw on the final scoreboard. But the entire team, located in the stands of the North Tribune, enjoyed the game and, in addition, could be the protagonist from the centre of the field. A wonderful experience that the lions and lionesses of the Genuine enjoyed to the full.
