Óscar De Marcos and Galder Reguera recall how the surprise performance that opened the latest edition of Thinking was conceived
At the gates of the Thinking Football Film Festival 2022, which will take place from September 19 to 25 at Sala BBK, we recall a very special story from last year’s edition.
Orsai, the musical group made up entirely of Athletic Club players, was in charge of putting the final climax to the inauguration of the last Thinking with a surprise concert.
It was also the first concert that Orsai gave in public. Almost a year later, we brought together Óscar De Marcos and Galder Reguera, Fundazioa’s Project Manager, to remind us how that small but memorable concert was conceived, the sensations they experienced then and the residue left in the memory of that moment so special.
As Galder Reguera himself recalls, “I don’t think that Orsai’s first concert was for the public at the Athletic Foundation. It is a representation of the commitment that these six players have in particular, but, in general, the dressing rooms of Athletic (I was going to say the changing rooms, but I am going to say the changing rooms because it extends much further) with the Foundation project. We took it as a very nice gift, which also meant a perfect closure for a day That was very important to us.”
