On May 25, in Las Llanas, a selection of African players will face a Basque team, thanks to a social initiative that has the support of Athletic Club Foundation
Next Wednesday, May 25, at 7:00 p.m., a very special match will be played at the Las Llanas Sestao’s field between a selection of African soccer players and a team of Basque players. The meeting is organized by the EGBA Kirolak club with the collaboration of the Sestao Municipal Sports Service and its objective is to raise funds to favor the EGBA Kirolak social inclusion project. The initiative also has the support of the Athletic Club Foundation, the Basque Football Federation, Metro Bilbao and the NGO Solidaridad Internacional.
EGBA Kirolak is a club from Sestao that was born with the aim of promoting the inclusion and development of the African community through sport and, specifically, football. With the money obtained from the sale of tickets for this charity match, EGBA Kirolak will continue to carry out its social work. In collaboration with the Sestao Municipal Sports Service, the challenge is to get the club to federate and thus be able to compete in the regional category in the 2022/23 season.
Different players from Bizkaia clubs (Sestao, Portugalete, Santurtzi, Barakaldo…) will be part of the Euskadi team. The African All Star team will be made up of players of African origin who play for European clubs.
The price of tickets is €5 Grandstand, €3 Preference and €1 boys and girls up to 10 years old.
In addition to the sports show, there will also be a solidarity raffle, as well as cultural and musical performances.
