On February 14 and 15, a charity futsal tournament will be held in Iruñea in memory of the young athlete Athleticzale who died in 2019
Inés Miren De Pablo Llorens died due to a rare cancer in September 2019, at age 23, shortly after finishing Medicine with very good grades at the University of Navarra. As an athlete, she stood out as a tennis player, being runner-up in the Euskadi Absolute in 2012, and also played football with her fellow students. She was also a great red and white fan, who showed her pride in Athletic Club wherever she went.
On February 14 and 15, her university friends pay tribute by organizing a charity futsal turner to which the Athletic Club Foundation has joined. The funds raised will be allocated in full to cancer research, specifically, the Spanish Group of Orphan and Uncommon Tumours (GETHI). In addition to the indoor soccer tournament, the sports center of the University of Navarra will host different recreational activities and several raffles so that the public can enjoy the double day.
The Athletic Club Foundation has donated for the raffle two balls, two shirts and two tickets for the derby that will be played in San Mamés the day after the tournament, Sunday 16, at 18:30, between Athletic Club and Osasuna.
