Fundazioa is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a commemorative video featuring the Club’s footballers and others involved in social projects
The Athletic Club Foundation (Fundazioa) will celebrate this Saturday, 26th February, its 20th anniversary. Not only has Fundazioa gained continued relevance for the last 20 years, but it has also become an indivisible entity within the Club. Athletic’s own values are embodied into all the social, cultural, sports, training and environmental projects that have been developed throughout the last two decades. Hence, year by year, Fundazioa has been bonding together with the red-and-white family, whose members range from the most vulnerable groups in society towards whom its social projects are targeted, to both male and female players in the first teams, together with those supporters who have joined in to the various initiatives underway.
Thanks to its work, Fundazioa is visible on Athletic’s skin, with its name tattooed like a stamp with the true relevance it has.
Commemorative t-shirt
On the occasion of this special event, our first teams will play the LaLiga match against FC Barcelona and the Copa de la Reina match against Sevilla FC wearing a commemorative Fundazioa shirt.
The 20th anniversary logo will appear in the middle of the garment, together with the Athletic Club shield.
San Mames lighting
Additionally, the 20th anniversary commemorative logo will be lit up this Saturday 26th February in San Mames. Along the coming months Fundazioa will be announcing special events regarding of its 20th anniversary celebration. Some of them are already part of the Foundation’s yearly program, but there will be special editions of cultural festivals such as the Thinking Football Film Festival and Letrak eta Futbola (Literature and Football), together with the final round of the Genuine League and some other commemorative surprises.
Lastly, the Fundazioa would like to thank the supporters of the Club Athletic, the collaborating companies and institutions and the Euskadi Third Social Sector for the support provided over these twenty years. Their contribution has been decisive for the Athletic Club Foundation to enjoy good health and turn 20 today.
