The Bihotza Sariak, distinctions awarded by the media to Organisations and Professionals with Heart, recognise the work of Athletic Club Fundazioa
The Bihotza Sariak celebrated its XIV edition on Tuesday 20 December, awarding eight names with a big heart. The awards ceremony was held at Bilborock and Athletic Genuine received the Bihotza Deporte. Coaches Eli Ibarra and Igor Arenaza, and footballers Iratxe Lobato and Josu Uriguen were in charge of collecting the award on behalf of the entire Athletic Club Fundazioa squad.
The event, hosted by the head of news of Radio Popular, Koldo Campo, was attended by Juan Mari Aburto, Mayor of Bilbao; Xabier Legarreta, Director of the Department of Equality, Justice and Social Policies, Maite Iturrate, Director of the Provincial Councillor for Social Action; and Borja Elorza, President of BilbaoHistoriko.
The other award-winning organisations were: Koopera; Clara Campo Amor; Unicef; Iralabarri Social Market Volunteers; La Salve; Down’s Syndrome Foundation; 20th Anniversary Kidenda; El Farol de la Solidaridad; Boni Garcia and Miguel Angel Fernandino.
