ATHLETIC READING CLUB

Reading, like football, is something to be shared. No fan is alone, and no reader finishes a good book without feeling the desire to share it with those they love most.

RELATED SDG

The Athletic Reading Club is an activity promoting reading, by means of which any fan and reader can propose a book for a number of Athletic Club players and coaches to read. Each of these people will choose one from all of the suggestions received and commit to reading the chosen book within one month. Then, based on the books suggested, the Athletic Club Foundation will organise a number of reading clubs with individuals from Athletic Club.

In recent years, players and coaches such as Jose Anjel Iribar, Carlos Gurpegui, Ainhoa Tirapu, Ernesto Valverde, Mikel Balenziaga, Mikel Rico, Mikel San José, Gorka Iraizoz, Andere Leguina, Xabi Etxeita, Maite Oroz and Lucía Córdoba have taken part in the initiative.

The Athletic Reading Club is completed with reading clubs organised by the different teams that make up the lower age groups of Athletic Club at Lezama.
