The central ring of the San Mamés stadium hosts the closing ceremony and the presentation of the university course by the Athletic Club Foundation and the Bilbao Faculty of Education (UPV/EHU)
This Thursday, the Athletic Club Foundation and the Bilbao Faculty of Education (UPV/EHU) presented the new 2022/23 academic year of the university postgraduate course “Sport, Education and Coexistence: Protecting Children and Young People”.
The event, held in the North Hall of the San Mamés field, was attended by, on behalf of the Foundation, Jon Vázquez Eguskiza, Iñaki Alonso, Gontzal Suances and Galder Reguera; on behalf of the UPV/EHU, Urtza Garay, Asier Romero, Israel Alonso and Mari Mar Boillos; on behalf of the Basque Government, Miren Irune Muguruza; and on behalf of the Bilbao City Council, Itxaso Erroteta and Marcos Muro.
Likewise, the students who completed the 2021/22 academic year received their corresponding Expert Title diplomas in this postgraduate course. It is a qualification on the rise from the labor point of view, after the recent approval of the Organic Law for the Protection of Children and Adolescents against violence. Said law contains a chapter dedicated entirely to sport that requires sports clubs to have a Policy and a Child Protection Delegate, as well as a minimum training in the matter of sports personnel.
