EMAÚS PROJECT

The Athletic Club Foundation collaborates with the Emmaus Social Foundation Group centres in the towns of Gamiz and Derio by means of two training sessions per week

RELATED ODS

The Emmaus Social Foundation Group is a social, secular non-profit organisation that is part of the EMMAÜS INTERNATIONAL movement. The aim of the organisation is to promote and support individual and collective transformation processes in the social, economic and environmental spheres. To do this, Emmaus runs social and employment inclusion programmes, and awareness-raising and education projects for sustainability and development cooperation, and social economy enterprises. Its priority is to improve the living conditions and empowerment of people in a situation of or at serious risk of exclusion.

To be more precise, Emmaus has a residential centre in Gamiz and a day centre in Derio where it runs a comprehensive programme to support people in a situation of severe social exclusion. The multi-sport training sessions run by the Foundation’s coaches are part of the various transformational initiatives promoted by Emmaus.
