Fidias Project

As a result of the collaboration with the FIDIAS Foundation, dedicated to integration and interpersonal development through the arts, the Athletic Club Foundation technicians conduct two weekly training sessions at the FIDIAS headquarters in Lamiako

RELATED SDG

Athletic Club Foundation and FIDIAS Foundation have reached a cooperation agreement for technical staff from Fundazioa to coach two training sessions per week at FIDIAS’s headquarters in Lamiako. Fundación FIDIAS is a young, dynamic NGO that works in the field of integration and interpersonal development through the arts. FIDIAS is currently made up of around 350 people. Its work is aimed at disadvantaged groups and persons at risk of social exclusion, stressing inclusion as a tool for social and educational cohesion and seeing art and culture as a tool for critical thinking and social change.

FIDIAS offers a place where young and older children and teenagers can come together through creative processes and spend part of their leisure time on inter-relation-based activities under the leadership of specialists and volunteers. FIDIAS organises activities including drama, dance, choral singing, music, comic books, martial arts, street art, etc. and now, in cooperation with Fundazioa, also multiple sports, to help develop the potential of its young users.

Technical staff from Fundazioa were incorporated into the art and sports workshops offered by FIDIAS through twice-weekly training sessions. These sessions cover multiple sports, and are aimed at two different age groups: 14-16-year-olds on Mondays and 7-11-year-olds on Thursdays.
